The importance of physical activity assessment
The American College of Sports Medicine and the American Heart Association recently issued updated health-based physical activity recommendations (1). It is indisputable that an association between physical activity and health exists and the measurement of physical activity behavior is central to defining this relationship and clarifying the nature of the dose-response relationship. Additionally, physical activity assessment is useful for evaluating the effectiveness of programs and interventions designed to increase physical activity as well as for monitoring population trends and providing individuals with feedback on their current level of physical activity. Podcasts have been used by teachers as an innovative and effective way to keep students motivated in learning content material. More teachers could integrate Podcasts on their lessons if the process of audio recording and sharing was less complicated. A new web20 startup has been added to the Go2web20.net directory. It is called Coventi Pages. It is a collaborative utility for document authoring and review that runs in the web browser.
I took the time to watch their demo and have to say that I was quite impressed with its features. Perhaps, Google could buy their product and replace Google Docs with it. A free account is available!
AHEMD Project Affordances in the home environment for motor development

The researchers are developing an instrument to assess the quality of motor development opportunities in the home environment.
